Coaches replacing V/Line trains
PASSENGERS travelling to Melbourne via V/Line services are advised of delays and modified timetables until November 28 due to annual works along the Ararat line. Coaches will replace trains on part of the Ararat and Maryborough lines while V/Line rail crews carry out annual maintenance and infrastructure works. A Transport Victoria spokesperson said passengers should allow extra time for their journey, with replacement coaches operating between Bacchus Marsh, Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough stations until the last service on Friday, November 28. “All trains services will be replaced by a mix of express and stopping all stations coach services, and some coaches will depart earlier than usual train times to connect with trains at Bacchus Marsh,” they said, “A temporary timetable is available from the Transport Victoria and V/Line websites.” The Transport Victoria spokesperson also issued an alert regarding Ballarat Station where upgrades continue to cause some disruption. “From 7pm Friday, 21 November to 6am Monday, November 24, the station building will be closed, with temporary waiting areas and accessible portable toilets available,” they said “Staff will be available to assist passengers.” Transport Victoria provides real-time traffic conditions and the latest public transport information at transport.vic.gov.au.
V/Line's annual track maintenance program will see coaches replacing trains on the Ararat and Maryborough lines until November 28.
