Marnoo CWA serves lunch to support local charities
MARNOO Country Women’s Association (CWA) held their second luncheon of the year at Marnoo Hall on Wednesday to raise funds for local causes.

The group usually hold two to three luncheon’s for the year and locals as well as other CWA members from St Arnaud, Birchip, Charlton, also attended.
The members donate their own food and make their delicious dishes which include meatballs, slow cooked meat, casserole’s and everything else in between.
The Stawell Times-News dropped by on Wednesday to also find a selection of delicious desert including Apple Crumble and Sticky Date Pudding, as well as a small assortment of cakes.
The patrons participated in a general knowledge quiz and also a casserole recipe competition where they had to name 21 ingredients in a casserole.
Money raised goes to local charities such as Foodbank in Horsham or Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute or Diabetes and any local community groups that need assistance and donations.
Marnoo CWA may hold another luncheon later in the year so keep an eye out for when they do.
