Watchem won the toss and batted, and Marnoo bowled them out for 164 in the 37th over. Benjamin Newton and Dylan Shelley were the stars with the ball, taking 3/16 (5.2), and 3/27 (8), respectively, while Jimmy Duxson also bowled well, claiming 2/30 (6).

In reply, Marnoo lost Jimmy Duxson early for 11, but Brylie Cameron and Nic Baird rebuilt the innings, forming a strong 45-run partnership before Cameron was dismissed by Connor Boyle for 17.

When Angus Bade fell for one shortly after, and Dylan Shelley fell for 10, Marnoo found themselves 4/90.

With Baird set at the crease, he and Daniel Schaper added 46 runs to bring Marnoo on the verge of victory.
