New Telstra tower to boost Lexton mobile coverage
LEXTON residents will soon have access to better mobile telephone and mobile data with a new Telstra tower being installed last week. The tower replaces a smaller, short range tower at the Lexton telephone exchange.

The new Telstra tower at Lexton was being craned into place last week.

Local residents reported the new tower being craned into place on Monday.
The tower was made possible with funding from the Western Renewables Link project.
AusNet was contacted by the Advocate this week where it was confirmed two new towers have been funded at both Lexton and Smeaton through the WRL Benefit Sharing Program.
However further details about the project are scheduled to be released in coming weeks once the new Lexton tower is operational.
