Rovers v Warriors

Rovers delivered a strong all-round performance to defeat the Warriors by 30 points, 8.11 (59) to 4.5 (29), in an entertaining junior football clash at Richardson Oval.

The Rovers got off to a flying start, holding the Warriors scoreless in the opening quarter while kicking 4.5 to build a commanding lead.

Although the Warriors responded well after quarter-time and continued to battle hard, the Rovers maintained their intensity and controlled the game through disciplined defence and effective ball movement.

Archie Reynolds and Jehtt Alexander led the way in front of goal for the Rovers, each finishing with two majors as the team shared the scoring across the ground.

Rovers' best players were Ted Tucker, Roy Brewis, James Roberts, Archie Reynolds, Noah Hughes and William Barr.

The Warriors were well served by Oscar Phillips, Tristian Scott-Monteau, Ezekyal Turner, Charlie Beer, Jaxon Foster and Sawyer Jackson, who all worked hard throughout the contest.

A special mention goes to Mason Thomas, a first-year Warriors player, whose classy left-foot skills caught the eye. He showed great composure with the football and looks every bit a future star in the making.

Mounties v Bombers

The Bombers produced an impressive four-quarter performance to record a 37-point victory over the Mounties, winning 11.4 (70) to 5.3 (33) at Richardson Oval.

The Bombers set the tone from the opening bounce, building an early lead through strong teamwork, disciplined defence and efficient use of the football.

To their credit, the Mounties refused to give in, producing an excellent second half and continuing to attack the contest with determination.

Oliver McDougall was outstanding in front of goal for the Bombers, finishing with four majors to take his season tally to an impressive 48 goals.
