Police investigate alleged assault
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an alleged assault incident in Stawell in September. On 21 September 2025, it is believed a man approached the victim at Old Lake Oval off Sutherland Street at about 10am and attempted to assault her. The victim was walking her dog around the oval when the alleged offender’s dog has attacked the victim’s dog. The victim and offender had a verbal argument which resulted in the offender stepping closer to the victim with a raised fist. The offender is described as approximately 5 foot 8 inches, having a solid build, short dark hair and was wearing a black t-shirt with grey track pants.
