Ready to rumble
FINDING a Brisbane supporter in Ararat might be hard, but finding a Freemantle supporter is even harder. But the Advocate did manage to track down two fans from the opposing AFL grand final teams this week who are both excited about today's big game at the MCG.
Five-year-old Rhylan Foster is adamant his team, the Dockers, can take their first AFL premiership.
“I think they will win because they are at the top of the ladder,” he said.
Rhylan is adamant the Dockers can win, and even predicts a winning margin of 80 points.
Tony Reynolds is a former Fitzroy supporter who followed his team to Brisbane.
He’s less confident about his sides chances tomorrow.
“ I’m not sure they are going to win, I am hoping they are going to win. My birthday is always on the grand final weekend”.
“I’m and old Fitzroy supporter and I’ve followed the Lions since they joined up with Brisbane,” Tony said.
The AFL Grand Final kicks off today at 2.30pm at the MCG and will be televised on Channel 7.
