They don’t come around very often
GARRY Todd brought up his 100th goal of the season as Ararat won the 1986 Wimmera Football League premiership. Four decades later, that’s not the moment he talks about first. Instead, the captain-coach talks about the young men he coached, the lessons he tried to teach and the friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
Still proudly flying the Rats colours, Garry Todd is looking forward to reuniting with his 1986 premiership teammates this weekend as Ararat Football Club celebrates 40 years since its Wimmera Football League flag.
