Top honour for Dr Pretorius
ARARAT GP Dr Pieter Pretorius has been recognised by his peers for excellence in his field. The 2026 Victorian Rural Health Awards were presented last Thursday during a virtual event broadcast from Bendigo. The awards honour the outstanding achievements of health professionals delivering vital care across rural and regional communities. Dr Pretorius was presented with one of 13 awards on the night in the Outstanding Contribution By a Mentor or Supervisor category.
Ararat based Dr Pieter Pretorius won the Outstanding Contribution By a Mentor or Supervisor category at last week’s Victorian Rural Health Awards.
