Draft Waubra Reserve Master Plan out for feedback
THE Draft Waubra Recreation Reserve Master Plan is now on public exhibition for final community feedback.

Pyrenees Shire Council voted at its Monday meeting to also note the extensive community feedback that has guided the draft master plans development.
Council says it has worked with the Waubra community on the draft and has already received more than 80 feedback suggestions.
The draft plan is structured around four key themes including:
• People – supporting the individuals and groups who use the reserve
• Participation – supporting delivery of new community programs, activities and opportunities
• Place – improving pride of place through better infrastructure, accessibility and overall functionality of assets
• Partnership - improving governance, collaboration and strategic relationships
Some of the key initiatives include redeveloping the netball facilities, creating gathering and activity spaces especially for young people, a multi-age and all abilities activity and fitness space and sporting surfaces upgrades.
The 28-day exhibition period will include both online and direct
engagement with individuals and groups who have previously provided feedback.
Pyrenees Shire Mayor Tanya Kehoe said the plan provides a long-term vision for the reserve.
“The Waubra Recreation Reserve is a valuable community asset, not only for Waubra but the whole municipality,” Cr Kehoe said.
“This master plan creates a future guide to support community connections and recreation opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and genders, for decades to come.”
